The Corvair front end in this 1930
street rod has served it's purpose for some time now, but the time
has come for a modern update. |
The front end begins to come apart.
This picture is a good example of what will be removed. Wait until
all of that polished stainless, chome, and billet aluminum is
installed! |

We lucked out on this one! Since the
motor is back far enough, we do not need to pull the motor and
install new motor mounts. We are now ready to take our measurements
and pull it apart. |

The frame was boxed ( hey, Blue Bear, box the frame!) and the new Heidt's crossmember was welded into place. The frame will now be prepared for paint so we can install the rest of the components. A lot of weight was removed from the front of this car. |

The frame rails and crossmember are now painted. We will begin to install the rest of the components and set the caster and camber. While we have the engine accessable, we will detail the pullies and put a fresh coat of paint on the engine. |

All of the polished stainless, billet aluminum and chrome are going to make this front end stand out! The addition 11" front rotors and new Flaming River rack make this '30 Ford a safe vehicle to drive. |
