Carmen's
34 Ford was just released from the upholstery shop and arrived to
have a new Flaming River Steering column installed. |
 |
As
you can see, the upholstery turned out really nice and that the column
has to go! |
 |
The
steering wheel will be upgraded with Flaming River Woodie III . .
. one of my favorite steering wheels. |
 |
The
polished stainless steel column from Flaming River will look great
in this car. |
 |
The
old column is removed and the new column is installed. |
 |
The
dash mount was also provided by Flaming River. |
 |
We
noticed some very questionable crimps while we were preparing to wire
the new column. These connections were all replaced. |
 |
Here
is another connector that WILL cause problems later, In fact, one
of the wires came off while we were taking this picture. The wires
were cut, stripped and new connectors properly crimped. We know there
will be no problems with this socket in the future. |
 |
This
is the completed column in the 34 Ford. |
 |
We
installed new LED tail lights and a third brake light in Carmens 34.
There shouldn't be a problem seeing him when he is stopping now! |
 |
This
is the third brake light from inside the car. |
 |
This
is the Lokar adjustable hood prop. We had to make a few changes to
make it work. |
