Joe
named this 70 Camaro "Baby". When he dropped off the car,
he also dropped off a pair of slicks and told us to make them fit.
The car needed sheetmetal anyway and the frame was setup for wheel
tubs so making the wheelwell wouldn't be all that bad. |
 |
The
back of the frame came up into the trunk so when we were laying out
the trunk supports and pans, everything had to come up. |
 |
Well
here it is . . . driver side done. |
 |
We
started to enclose the rear seat area with sheetmetal. The frame came
up into this area too so we had to fit everything by hand. |
 |
This
is the back seat area enclosed, seam sealed and ready to be painted
with POR15. |
 |
This
is the trunk where Joe needs to have access to the shocks for adjusting
and a hole for his drop-in fuel cell. |
 |
We
made a sealed access door for Joe to have access to the shocks. I
think that the bowtie is fitting for this car. |
 |
The
new doors are installed as well as the front fenders and hood. |
 |
After
being painted, Joe stopped by for us to check the car out. |
 |
It
all came together and once the car is completed, it will be great. |
 |
Joe
is still trying to decide which engine that he has in his collection
to drop in his baby! |
